Emotion Focused Psychotherapy is aimed at people who feel burdened or are experiencing personal, social, work-related or financial difficulties and are looking for change here. Together and in an effective working alliance, we explore your internal emotional experience and processing in relation to your specific concern. The support in this individual process is individually oriented. I support you in gaining more clarity and personal insights about your emotional states and obstacles and further developing the appropriate skills that you need to get ahead for yourself. 

Emotion Focused Psychotherapy 

Emotions play a crucial role in shaping our overall well-being, thoughts, opinions, needs, longings, behaviors etc.. The evidence-based approaches of Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) and Intensive Short-term Dynamic Therapy (ISTDP) focus on understanding and utilizing emotion processing as a key component of therapeutic change.  

Helping people develop a deeper and broader awareness and understanding of their emotions, allowing them to recognize, process, regulate and express their feelings in a healthy and adaptive manner. Through this process, people can gain insight into the underlying causes of their emotional struggles and the maintaining factors and work towards resolving deep-rooted issues. Emotion-focused Psychotherapy can be highly beneficial for a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties and unresolved emotional pain.

We get to know each other

In our initial session – on site in Berlin or online – you tell me what is relevant to you. What’s been weighing on you, what you’re hoping for, where you are right now.

I’ll walk you through my approach and we’ll figure out together whether and how I can support you. No pressure, no commitment.

Choosing the right format

Together we decide what fits your situation best: regular sessions over time, short-notice appointments during an acute crisis, or an intensive block format for deeper change in a concentrated period.

We work – and we adapt

Therapy isn’t a fixed program. We evaluate the process continuously and adjust methods, frequency, and format as you develop. The goal isn’t to do as much as possible but as little as necessary for you to actually feel the difference.

The first step is often the hardest. But you’ve already taken it by being here. I look forward to meeting you – in an initial session, in person in Berlin or online. Please note: All appointments can be scheduled in person or online. There is also additional capacity for online-only appointments. You will find these marked in red in the booking overview.

Initial consultation as part of a therapy setting is charged at 180 euros / 60 min as single or couple attendee (VAT exempt according to §4 No. 14a UStG). The fee for follow-up appointments will be discussed during the appointment.

If a previously agreed appointment is not kept or postponed at short notice, usually no other client is available and can be accepted. Irrespective of the reason of unavailability, the appointments, that have not been kept, can be invoiced. The amount of the cancellation fee corresponds to the fee of the previously agreed private fee. Appointments, that have been cancelled or postponed at least 48 hours in advance via phone or e-mail, are not invoiced.
