Support for Remote workers, Expats and International Professionals
Living abroad can be exciting and rewarding, but it also comes with challenges that are often overlooked. Relocating to a new country means adapting not only to a different environment, but also to new social, cultural, and professional realities. Many expats, internationally mobile individuals, remote workers, and global professionals experience periods of uncertainty, loneliness, stress, or disconnection, particularly during major life transitions. Building a new social network, navigating cultural differences, communicating in a second language, and living far away from family and familiar sources of support can be emotionally demanding.
You may find yourself asking:
- Why do I feel unsettled despite achieving my goals?
- Why is it harder to connect with people than I expected?
- Why do I feel lonely even when surrounded by others?
- Why do I no longer feel fully at home anywhere?
- Why does everyday life suddenly feel so exhausting?
- Where is home?
- Which culture do I belong to?
- How have these experiences changed me?
- What kind of life do I want to build moving forward?

Online Setting
As part of my professional work as a Heilpraktikerin limited to the field of psychotherapy, I offer online therapy and coaching for adults, individuals, and couples. When appropriately indicated, online psychotherapy is a recognized and effective form of therapeutic care and may serve as an alternative or complement to in-person sessions. Online therapy does not replace medical, psychiatric, or psychotherapeutic treatment as defined by the German Psychotherapists Act (Psychotherapeutengesetz, PsychThG). No medical diagnoses are made, no medication is prescribed, and acute psychiatric crises are not treated.
My online and hybrid therapy and coaching services are designed for people seeking flexible, confidential, and location-independent support for emotional distress, relationship challenges, inner conflicts, or personal development concerns. Sessions are conducted via a secure video platform, in accordance with professional regulations, confidentiality obligations, and applicable data protection laws. While high security standards are applied, a residual risk of technical disruptions or unauthorized access cannot be entirely excluded.
Suitability for Online Therapy
Online psychotherapy requires sufficient emotional and psychological stability. It is not suitable in cases of acute psychiatric crisis, immediate risk of self-harm or harm to others, or situations requiring urgent medical or psychiatric intervention.
To ensure a stable and effective therapeutic working relationship, it is essential that you:
- have access to a quiet, private, and protected environment during sessions
- are able to attend appointments regularly and reliably
Suitability for online therapy is carefully assessed during the initial consultation. If necessary, I may recommend an alternative therapeutic setting or advise further psychotherapeutic, medical, or psychiatric evaluation.
Technical & Organizational Requirements
Online sessions take place in your familiar environment. At the same time, the online setting may feel unfamiliar at first and can influence communication, non-verbal cues, and emotional intensity. Particularly in emotion-focused therapeutic work, facial expressions, gestures, and bodily responses play an important role.
To create optimal conditions for online therapy, the following are required:
- good lighting and clear audio quality
- a stable internet connection
- a calm, secure, and interruption-free space
To protect confidentiality, the therapeutic relationship, and data privacy, video, audio, or screen recordings of online therapy sessions are not permitted. Recordings are allowed only with the prior written consent of all parties involved.
Therapeutic work can be emotionally activating and may evoke intense emotional experiences. These reactions are a natural part of the therapeutic process and are prepared for, reflected upon, and followed up together.
For technical issues and emergency situations, mutual telephone availability during sessions is a mandatory requirement.
HOW Therapy / Coaching WORKs
Arrange an online initial consultation via the appointment booking system. Here we discuss your current life situation, the difficulties you have experienced, the maintaining factors as well as your wishes for change.
We check the indication and choose a setting suitable for you from various options, e.g. acute or regular appointments, as a series over a longer period of time or compact in an intensive block.
After the decision has been made, we start the cooperation. We evaluate the complete course of our collaboration until its completion and adapt the methods, appointment frequency and, if necessary, the setting to ongoing developments so that you can achieve your goals in the best possible way.
